Learn more about workshop instructor, Maureen Mills in three questions...
What is the best advice you can give when it comes to surface design?
Be inquisitive about everything!
Where do you find inspiration?
I love fabric and pattern. I enjoy the challenge of designing forms that fit the kiln I'm firing in too.
What is your all time favorite part of making pottery?
I love making teapots. Assembling forms and parts that work well together, each choice informing the next one. The assembling of forms whether boxes or teapots require solid handbuilding skills and balancing wheel-work with off-wheel work is quite satisfying.
