In advancing both our creative process and our work, there is an inherent need to embrace risk.  Also in our development, we all have a "next step" uniquely based on our experience, interests, and goals.  Identifying and structuring our “next step”, we can begin to understand risk as a creative tool and push our work forward.  This workshop will begin with structured exercises that will lead to individual interests and forms.

Chris Archer is a New Hampshire artist and teacher. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, earning multiple awards, and is in the collections of the San Angelo Museum of Art in San Angelo, Texas; Tokyo Geidai in Tokyo, Japan; as well as multiple private collections. Currently Chris serves as the Director of Community Eduation at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester, NH.  He also teaches in NHIA's BFA, MFA and MAED programs.  In addition, he has taught in a myriad of venues including visiting artist residencies, workshop presentations throughout New England, and Guest Lecturer at University of New Hampshire.
