2-Day Hands-On Workshop
Saturday & Sunday, October 26th & 27th, 2019
9:00am - 4:00pm, both days
(with a break for lunch)
Working in a larger scale can be challenging, but also a lot of fun! In this workshop we will focus our energies on making a few prints over the course of the weekend (as opposed to knocking out a dozen or more.) The format can be a traditional 22x30 inch rectangle, or of your own making – expanding in multiple directions breaking the rectangular format. Add-ons can be sewn, taped or glued together. Prints will be built up over time and will go through the press many times. Introductory skills in monoprinting/monotype are encouraged though all skill levels are welcome.

October 16-30th, 2019
6:00pm - 9:00pm
Use basic etching techniques to create crisp lines, painterly washes, and rich tonal imagery. Students will explore and experiment while learning soft and hard grounds and drypoint. In three weeks, gain the skills to manipulate, etch and proof-print a copper plate. All skill levels welcome! If you are unsure if this class is appropriate for your skill level, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call (207)361-4162

Learn how to hand-print editions of your own graphic imagery using silkscreens! Turn your black-and-white (no grayscale) graphics into one-color silkscreen prints using light-sensitive emulsion. Students will create screens of their own hand-drawn illustration or digital/photographic design and print on paper. The studio will provide 15 sheets of 8.5x12” white 80lb cover paper to make an edition and we encourage you to bring different types of your own paper to print on.* Have fun, make prints! All skill levels welcome!
